Lead time after a festival week in Tbilisi

The Monday after a street festival is not a new season. It is a hangover in the booking window, and rate calendars that ignore it punish the following fortnight.

Street festivals fill rooms, then they punish the following fortnight. Guests who came for the programme do not linger. Locals who avoided the noise do not suddenly appear on Monday. Rate calendars that keep festival prices into the hangover week teach regulars to wait, and they teach last-minute guests that your street is still loud when it is not.

A booking-window study after a festival week looks at how far ahead the next stay is committed. If the window collapses to two days, the property is not “in demand”; it is scavenging. That is a different staffing problem and a different conversation with a channel manager, which we do not operate. We only write the reading so the owner can have that conversation with numbers from their own book.

The Monday after is not a new season. Treat it as the back of the same week, and the fortnight that follows will hurt less.
